RollerAds has a 44.6% bot zone rate. That sounds bad. It is not great. But here is the thing that makes RollerAds fundamentally different from every other network we tested:
RollerAds is the only network where we found gold zones.
Out of 21,389 zones across 7 networks, exactly 45 zones earned "Trusted" status -- meaning consistently high human evidence, real device signals, and verifiable quality. All 45 came from RollerAds. Zero from PopAds. Zero from ZeroPark. Zero from anyone else.
What Makes a Gold Zone
A zone earns Trusted status when it consistently meets strict criteria over a sustained period:
- Accept rate above 85%. At least 85% of traffic from this zone passes all 13 detection layers with a trust score above threshold.
- High "hard human evidence" (hardHE). This metric measures unforgeable signals: valid Sec-Fetch headers (browser-enforced, cannot be faked by JavaScript), real device signals, consistent TLS fingerprints, residential IP addresses.
- Sufficient volume. The zone needs enough traffic to be statistically meaningful. A zone with 3 clean clicks is not "Trusted" -- it just has not been caught yet. Gold zones have hundreds or thousands of verified human visits.
- No block rule triggers. The zone passes all 14 UQC v4 block rules AND all 3 whitelist rules confirm it.
Why Only RollerAds Has Gold
This is the interesting question. Why does RollerAds produce gold zones when no other network does?
Theory 1: Publisher Quality Tier
RollerAds operates at the $0.50-$1.00 CPM range, similar to PopAds. But RollerAds appears to have a subset of publishers with genuinely high-quality traffic -- real websites with real users who generate legitimate pop impressions. These publishers likely have higher-traffic legitimate sites where the popunder is a secondary monetization method, not the primary one.
Theory 2: Traffic Verification
RollerAds has internal traffic quality measures that appear to be more effective at removing the worst bot publishers from their network. The 44.6% bot rate is still high, but the fact that gold zones exist at all suggests their quality floor is higher than networks like PopAds (62.2%) or TrafficNomads (65.5%).
Theory 3: SEA Market Quality
In our data, RollerAds' strongest geos for clean traffic are in Southeast Asia (Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam). These markets have high mobile penetration with real users, and the CPM is low enough that legitimate publishers use popunders for supplemental revenue without resorting to bots.
Finding and Scaling Gold Zones
Here is the practical playbook for RollerAds:
Step 1: Run a Discovery Campaign
Set a RollerAds campaign at $0.50-$0.75 CPM with broad targeting. Do not restrict zones yet -- you want to discover which zones are gold. Connect through PureGuard in shadow mode.
Step 2: Let Data Accumulate (5-7 Days)
At $50/day, you will see approximately 300-600 unique zones in a week. The zone quality engine needs at least 10 hits per zone to make a confident assessment, so give it time.
Step 3: Identify Your Gold
After a week, check the zone quality report. Filter for zones with:
- Accept rate > 80%
- Hard human evidence > 50%
- At least 20+ hits
These are your potential gold zones. They may not all reach the Trusted threshold, but they are significantly better than average.
Step 4: Build a Whitelist Campaign
Create a new RollerAds campaign targeting only your identified gold zones. Increase the bid slightly ($0.75-$1.00 CPM) to ensure you get consistent volume from these zones. This campaign will have dramatically better ROI because nearly every impression reaches a real human.
Step 5: Continue Discovery in Parallel
Keep your broad discovery campaign running at a lower budget. New gold zones appear over time as publishers join or expand. PureGuard continuously evaluates every zone and will flag new gold as it appears.
RollerAds-Specific Detection Signals
Our detection engine identifies several patterns specific to RollerAds bot traffic:
| Signal | What It Means | % of RollerAds Blocks |
|---|---|---|
| BOTH_CONFIRM | Guard score + pattern evidence both flag the zone | 68% |
| PATTERN_EXTREME | Extreme bot pattern evidence without any human counter-evidence | 16% |
| CPM_NO_DEVICE | High traffic volume but zero real device signals | 7% |
| DEAD_ZONE | 100% bot traffic, zero accepts | 5% |
| Other rules | Various cross-verification checks | 4% |
The ROI Case for RollerAds + PureGuard
Without filtering:
- $50/day on RollerAds at $0.75 CPM
- ~66,667 impressions per day
- 44.6% go to bot zones = ~29,733 wasted impressions
- $22.30/day wasted = $669/month
With PureGuard zone blocklist:
- Same $50/day budget
- Bot zone traffic eliminated -- budget redirected to clean zones
- Effective reach of real humans increases by ~80%
- Monthly savings: ~$600/month
But the real win is finding those 45 gold zones. A whitelist campaign running exclusively on gold zones at $1.00 CPM delivers traffic that is nearly 100% human. For arbitrage or CPA campaigns, this is the highest-ROI traffic available at pop network prices.
RollerAds is not a clean network. But it is the only network where the gold actually exists. The job is to find the gold and throw away the rest.
